Hatzalah of Houston just introduced a 16,000-pound, solid-steel, high-water rescue vehicle that will aid the Jewish first-responder organization in its mission to help those in need of medical attention.
Six dedicated members of Hatzalah of Houston spent about a week in Austin getting trained and certified as swift-water technicians.
The LMTV-M1078 is a former military vehicle with 3-foot, 10-inch tires. Hatzalah of Houston had it customized and decaled with its logo and all of the emergency equipment.
